Ree Davis has been a cook, dishwasher, seamstress, produce and garment deliverer, farm worker, typist, baker, software designer, stylist, and clerk. She spent years crisscrossing the country, Europe, Latin America, and Asia. Graduating from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science, she was head of research and development for a Fortune 500 Company. Ree also garnered a masters degree in architecture and another in creative writing. She has lived on both US coasts and in Japan and China. She resides in southwest Virginia with her husband. Ree's fiction echoes with the people and places encountered on the road and overseas. Ree Davis' work has appeared in Fogged City, Crack the Spine, Menacing Hedge, Narrative Magazine, and Daedalus. Her awards include New Millenium Writings 34th and 37th Consecutive Awards (Honorable Mention) and Narrative Magazine Short Fiction Competition (First Place). Her Story, "A Terrible Energy," ranked Top 25 in Glimmer Train's June 2012 Fiction Open.
