Ex-marine, multigenre musician, competitive athlete, parent and grandparent, JB Grant has been wholly or partly responsible for a half-dozen nonfiction books (e.g., Skateboarding, Companions in Spirit), two novels (The Unamericans in Paris and, most recently, Summer Squall on the Grand Strand), plus stories, poems, and articles in various small magazines. An admirer of Turgenev and Mansfield,  JB aims to present the complexity of contemporary human truth with due precision and a leavening of quirky humor.
